Pinwheel card

21 Jul

Pinwheels seems to be all the rage these days! I found this today and remembered that I hadn’t posted this card yet. Pinwheels are easy, but they have a great effect on the card itself – if you’re struggling to get 3D effects, this might be the way to go!

I made this a couple of weeks ago and thought I’d share 🙂 It is pretty much a direct card-lift from this gorgeous card, but it sure is a technique I’ll be using again and again.

I got the striped-and-dotted paper in the May-kit from Little Red Scrapbook, which is a great kit-shop if you want to get insane amounts of paper and embelishments in the mail every month (don’t forget to check out the add-on kits!). The paper is from October Afternoon and is called Cherry Hill: Cookie Jar. The blue background paper is from Basic Grey, I believe from the Sugared collection. The stamp, which is from Kerativ Hobby, reads: A good hug for you! I bought a pile of their tiket stamps while they were still on sale earlier this summer.

Thanks for looking! 😀
